February 9th was David's birthday and for his celebration, he wanted to try out this restaurant. He had gone online and read great reviews and so we decided to give it a try. It's called Texas de Brasil. You pay one price and its all you can eat. The waiters come to your table with racks of meat and they simply cut off what you want. One rack after another!
This restaurant sits in an upscale mall, and was next door to the Westin Hotel, in Huntsville, Alabama.
Smile, David!
They had over 50 items on their salad bar and it was SO good. If fact, I made my whole meal on the salad bar and became full so quickly! Not only did they have traditional salad items but they had specialty cheeses, hams, potatoes, rices, beans. Yum, yum!!
I came back to this particular bar three times.
While I concentrated on the salad bar, David feasted on the different meats. Here was the first waiter giving David his first choice.
Then pretty soon, another waiter came giving him another choice.
And then another waiter came giving him a third choice. This was all you can eat so David took some of everything. He told me, however, that he learned a lesson. He was so excited that they were offering him so much in such a short time that he took some of everything. But in doing so, he couldn't eat all of it before it lost its heat. He said that what he should have done was to eat one at a time and THEN get more. But he still enjoyed it.
Then, the first waiter was back with another choice.
And another choice . . .
I stopped taking pictures after that but they kept coming. Here is the waiter at another table.
Behind the waiter was their wine bar. I saw a waiter go in there and take out a big bottle of wine and take it to a table.
We really enjoyed ourselves. While they wouldn't allow us to take left overs home, they did allow me to take my rich chocolate cake home. It was a night well spent (with EMPHASIS on the word "spent"!!!!)
